Our Mission
At Sussex Wasps Disabled Archery Club, we believe that everyone deserves the chance to feel the joy of drawing a bow and letting an arrow fly. We're a small, welcoming community of people who come together to enjoy archery in a relaxed, supportive environment. No pressure, no judgment, just good company and shared passion.
Our club was founded on the belief that disability should never be a barrier to inclusion, confidence, or fun. Whether you're brand new to archery or have years of experience, you'll find a warm welcome waiting for you here. We adapt to individual needs, celebrate each small win, and encourage each other every step of the way.
Based in the heart of Sussex, we meet regularly for practice sessions that are as much about connection and laughter as they are about hitting the target. For us, archery is more than a sport. It's a way to build confidence, find focus, and feel a sense of belonging.
So whether you're curious to try something new or looking to reconnect with a hobby you love, you're very welcome at Sussex Wasps. Come as you are. We'll make sure there's a place for you.
Values - For Everyone
Inclusion
Everyone deserves a shot.
We create a welcoming, accessible environment where disabled archers of all ages and skill levels can take part, feel valued, and thrive.
Progression
From first arrow to podium finish.
We support each archer’s personal journey — whether that’s building confidence, mastering technique, or reaching competitive excellence.
Community
Stronger together.
More than a club — we’re a team. Through shared goals, support, and encouragement, we grow stronger both on and off the range.
